Energy Challenge Germany

The Energy Challenge Germany: German Startups for the Energy Transition in Chile is an acceleration program, organized by the AHK Chile and the State of Bavaria Office for South America, together with WERK1, Fraunhofer Ventures and SpinLab, within the framework of the Energy Partnership Chile-Alemania.

The aim of this program is to introduce energy startups in Germany to industry representatives from Chile, present them the innovative potential of the German start-up landscape and to open international business opportunities in the Chilean energy sector for German startups.

At the EXPONOR fair, the Bayern State Representation accompanied three startups from Germany (Breeze Technologies, Ecoligo, ARI Motors GmbH), who as winners of the Energy Challenge Germany, had the opportunity to travel to Chile. This project, which was carried out within the framework of the Energy Partnership Chile-Alemania, an initiative of the BMWK and the Chilean Ministry of Energy, was organized by AHK Chile and the Chilean Chile and the Representation together with GIZ, Expande de Fundación Chile, WERK1, Fraunhofer Venture and SpinLab.

During the week of June 13-16, Chile's main mining region, Antofagasta, welcomed 730 national and international companies from 28 countries and 40,500 visitors to EXPONOR. This is one of the most important fairs of technologies and innovations for the mining and energy industry in Latin America. Germany, in its capacity as invited guest country, was present with more than 40 companies in the German Pavilion.
