During the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue (BETD), the Energy Partnership Chile-Germany accompanied ACERA - Asociación Chilena de Energías Renovables y Almacenamiento in a series of key activities to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Chile and Germany on energy transition.

Chile is a pioneer with 70% of Renewable Energies

Ana Lía Rojas, executive director of ACERA AG, highlighted Chile's leadership in the transformation of the electricity market, with 70% renewable energy in current generation. In her speech, she underlined the importance of promoting the electrification of energy-intensive sectors, including mining, cement, steel and electric mobility, as well as the development of green hydrogen.

The BETD 2025 represented a key opportunity to consolidate alliances and advance joint solutions for energy transition, strengthening cooperation between Chile and Germany in the development of clean energy and energy storage.

Female ChangeMakers: Women Leading Decarbonisation

Round Table: Challenges and Solutions for Decarbonisation

As part of the agenda, a roundtable was held in the framework of the Berlin Energy Week, where the challenges and solutions for the decarbonisation of supply chains and the development of leading green markets were discussed. This event brought together experts from different sectors to exchange perspectives on the energy transition, gender equity in the industry and the contribution of the private sector in promoting sustainable models.

At the event Female ChangeMakers on Decarbonizing Supply Chains and Green Lead Markets, Ana Lía Rojas participated as a panelist together with international experts to address the role of the public and private sector in the decarbonisation of value chains. In this context, she highlighted the importance of having regulatory frameworks that allow access to sustainable markets, such as the European Union, especially in strategic sectors such as copper and green iron.

ACERA and BSW Solar

Strategic Alliance: ACERA and BSW-Solar Sign Memorandum of Understanding

One of the most important highlights at BETD was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between ACERA AG and the German Solar Association BSW-Solar, a strategic alliance that will foster technical and regulatory exchange, boost investments and strengthen energy storage as a key tool for a more flexible and reliable electricity system.
